If fellow Sith Lord John Malone, one of the few people on the planet with enough backbone and brains to stick it to the Murdoch clan, takes over the shambles that the UK Cable network has become, then we might see a next-gen fibre rollout within the next ten years - something this country sorely needs. I'm not holding my breath though. I’m all for this, but it seems like too little, too late from Virgin.
