Virgin Media size up their packages for 2009
Virgin Media have just announced some price changes to their existing broadband packages and broadband and digital TV bundle deals which take effect as of today.
The Size: M broadband package, which provided speeds of up to 2Mbps over a fibre-optic connection, is now no longer available to buy from Virgin Media. The new entry-level package from the Quad Play players is now the Size: L service, which gives you top download speeds of 10Mbps, unlimited downloads, and is currently available for just £5 a month for the first 3 months when taken with Virgin phone line rental for £11 a month.
The Virgin phone line rental deal automatically includes the Size: M Talk Weekends phone plan, which provides inclusive weekend calls to UK landlines. This can be upgraded to either Size: L Talk Evening and Weekends or Size: XL Talk Unlimited, for an extra £3.45 and £7.95 each respectively.
Size: XL broadband costs £10 a month for the first three months when taken with Virgin line rental, and gives you top download speeds of 20Mbps, along with unlimited.
The recently launched premium Size: XXL package, which gives you top speeds of 50Mbps and unrestricted downloads, costs £35 a month when taken with the line rental.
