Gadget Show votes Samsung NC-10 ‘best mini-laptop’ RSS

the-gadget-showThe Samsung NC10 Mini-Laptop has been voted best mini laptop on the market in a review on Channel 5′s Gadget Show. The notebook is currently available free on the 3GB and 10GB 24 Month O2 Mobile Broadband contracts.

During the show, ITV newsreader Julie Etchingham tested three mini laptops – the Acer Eee PC 1000H, Acer Aspire One D150, and the Samsung NC10 – in the hope of finding one that she could use on the move. Though all three laptops were highly portable, the Samsung won Julie’s vote of confidence due to its larger 10.2″ display, easy to operate track pad and well-spaced keyboard. The screen also responded well to various light conditions, including harsh sunlight.

“It’s a substantial little netbook, the keyboard is lovely and easy to use and the mouse works beautifully,” Etchingham said.

A News of the World review from 5th April, which tested the laptop using an O2 USB modem, concluded that the Samsung NC10 was “the best out there”.

“Battery life is up to seven hours for light use, and nearly four for heavy use. Many mini laptops flag at around two hours,” the article went on to say.

The Samsung NC10 mini-laptop features a 10.2″ widescreen display, 1GB memory. 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi and Windows XP operating system.

I personally think that this device is far better, and gets 10 out of 10 for portability and functionality!
