Tiscali officially joins the TalkTalk family
Tiscali has now officially become part of the TalkTalk family, which means that Tiscali subscribers can finally breathe a sigh of relief. A new page entitled ‘My Tiscali’ has appeared on the Tiscali website, and it states that:
“We would like to re-assure you that all your services and products will continue as normal and without interruption and, importantly, your existing email addresses will remain the same.
Once the sale is complete, TalkTalk very much look forward to welcoming Tiscali customers, and assure Tiscali customers that your service will continue as it is today.”

There’s been no change to the pricing of any of Tiscali’s packages as of yet, meaning that Tiscali Broadband Only (8Mbps, unlimited downloads) and Broadband with Weekend Calls (8Mbps, unlimited downloads, plus weekend calls to 01 02 and 03 numbers) is still available for just £14.99 a month.
The Broadband and Anytime Talk bundle deal which provides top download speeds of 8Mbps, unlimited downloads, and Anytime calls to 01 02 and 03 UK landlines also still retails for £19.99 a month.
A one-off set up charge of £30 applies to all Tiscali Broadband packages which come with fixed-line calls included. There is no set up or connection fee for the Tiscali Broadband Only product.

There seems to be a problem in understanding Tiscali packages.
I pay £24.99 a month and for this I get:
Broadband, line rental, free phone calls(except 0870 etc)24/7
Free phone calls to USA, Australia, Spain, France.24/7
I paid nothing for the router or connection.
Is anyone saying that all these will end when Talk Talk takes over?

In addition to my comments at 10:25 pm, I also have a TV package with Tiscali (included in the 24.99) which is very usful if the digital signal through my TV aerial is not good.

Hi Barbara,
it sounds like you’re on Tiscali’s Broadband Only package, which would explain why you’re not getting the evening and weekend calls. This costs £14.99 a month, the same as Tiscali Broadband with E&W calls, the only difference in price is that you don’t pay a £30 connection fee.
John,
it looks as though nothing is going to change regarding Tiscali packages for the time being – the only difference now is that the UK arm of the company is owned by the Carphone Warehouse. There should be no changes to any part of your service, broadband, phone or digital TV.
Hope this helps,
-Tom
