Orange Broadband: 20Mbps plus new Orange Home Ultra RSS

orange_october09_pricesOrange Broadband is now putting the pedal to the metal on all of its fixed-line broadband packages. Thanks to the rollout of ADSL2+ connections across the country Orange is now offering top speeds of 20Mbps (where available) on all of its broadband services.

There has also been a tidy up of the three existing Orange Broadband packages – Home Starter, Home Select, and Home Max – and the introduction of a new heavyweight package, Home Ultra.

Orange-branded wireless routers are now available on all of the services allowing everyone to set up space efficient home networks in no time at all. Unlimited downloads are now also available across the board.

Orange broadband services are now grouped into two distinct tiers – with Home Starter and Home Select you get broadband internet access but pay line rental to whoever your provider is.

Orange Home Max and Home Ultra come with Orange line rental (charged at £10.50 a month) instead of paying line rental to BT or anyone else. As before, if you take an Orange Pay Monthly mobile contract (either a SIM or Phone deal) then you can enjoy generous discounts off the cost of Orange Broadband.

Orange Home Max now comes with a standard wireless router instead of the Orange Livebox and comes with inclusive evening and weekend calls to UK numbers. The cost of Orange Home Max when taken with an Orange pay monthly mobile contract (normally £6.50 a month) is currently being waived for the first three months, meaning you just pay the £10.50 a month line rental instead. This offer is open to all new Orange customers from now until the 31st of January 2010.

Orange Home Ultra includes the Orange Livebox, allowing you to connect up to six computers, laptops or mobile devices at any one time as well as providing anytime calls to UK landlines and 30 international destinations. Orange Home Ultra costs £10.50 a month to Orange mobile customers plus £10.50 line rental, which works out at £21 a month. By contrast, non-Orange mobile customers pay £13.50 a month for Home Ultra broadband which works out at £24 a month including line rental.

Home Starter costs just £7 a month for Orange Mobile customers and £10 for everyone else and comes with off-peak landline calls to UK number beginning with 01, 02 or 03 included. Hme Select is a no-frills standalone broadband package with no inclusive calls and is available for £9 for Orange mobile customers and £12 a month elsewhere.
