Eclipse Internet: SimplicITy ITself 
Simplicity is the key, they say. SimplicITy Computers, the maker of a the newly launched PC platform designed to help older people experience the benefits of the internet, is recommending that so-called ‘silver surfers’ sign up with Eclipse Internet broadband packages. SimplicITy Computers is giving Eclipse the thumbs up due to its “approach to customer service”.
Nigel Houghton of SimplicITy said: “We were really pleased with the enthusiasm and professionalism displayed by Eclipse and have been impressed by their approach to customer service. These factors making them an ideal partner to work with. Their UK based call centre answers calls quickly and has a reputation for resolving any issues on that first call. That is ideal for everyone, but particularly those using the internet for the first time who may need a little extra assistance.”
SimplicITy specifically recommend the Eclipse Internet Home Lite and Home Select services which both provide top speeds of 24Mbps and usage limits of 2GB and 10GB respectively. Home Lite costs £11.95 a month whilst Home Select costs £17.95 a month.
SimplicITy Computers main screens are based around a home screen called Square One. From here, you can From here you can send emails, browse the web, chat to friends and family, store photos and write documents and easily get back to ‘square one’ if need be.
As music downloads and streaming video isn’t likely to be a priority for users who might be interested in a SimplicITy Computer, the fast speeds and capped usage levels of Eclipse Internet’s Home Lite and Home Select packages would be ideal.
There are two models of computer available from SimplicITy Computers, the Model 100 costing £436 and the Model 200, costing £526. Both machines come with 19″ flatscreen monitors and wireless keyboard and mice. The Model 100 (pictured) comes with a Sempron LE-1250 socket AM2 processor, whilst the Model 200 features an Intel dual core Atom processor.
