Plusnet to Launch Best Value Fibre Broadband
Plusnet has revealed today that they are launching a new fibre-optic broadband package which will be available from just £16.49 a month.
The new service utilises fibre optic technology to offer download speeds of up to 40Mbps. On average, this offers internet users in enabled areas the chance to triple their broadband speed.
Recent customer trials of Plusnet Fibre have seen 74% of customers now experience speeds of 30Mbps or more.
Jamie Ford, Plusnet Chief Executive Officer said of the launch: “Plusnet Fibre is the next generation of broadband and 96 per cent of our trialists say they would recommend the service to friends. This will really benefit households where there are several users and with increased speeds, it makes it possible to download a 30 minute TV show in less time than it takes to make the cup of tea to enjoy with it as you sit down to watch.”
Plusnet Fibre is available for pre-registration now on an 18 month contract. The new service is set to launch some time next month.

Plusnet seem to be the best broadband option for students at the moment. They’re cheap, they offer great usage allowances and their call centres are really helpful. Plusnet really seem to have nailed the student broadband market.
