From June this year Sky will be simplifying its broadband packages. Sky will be presenting customers with the choice of two broadband packages, both offering speeds of up to 20Mbps.
The package for leisurely internet users is called the Sky Everyday Lite. It gives 2GB of monthly usage and is free to customers with Sky TV and Talk telephone packages. For customers who are only registered with Sky TV, you can receive this broadband package for an extra £5 per month.
Customers who are currently on the existing Sky Broadband Base package will be upgraded to Sky Everyday Lite automatically throughout the summer.
For heavier broadband users Sky will be introducing the Sky Unlimited package. This has no monthly usage cap and runs at the same top speed at the Lite package, 20Mbps.

Fancy some free Sky+ action with your broadband this Christmas?
In the run-up to the yuletide rush, Sky has just taken the wrappings off of a great new deal that sees new Sky TV customers netting a free Sky+ box, normally costing £49, from tomorrow until the 11th of December - the latest time by which Sky TV orders need to be in if you want your Sky TV set up and installed in time for Christmas Day.
Like the Sky+ HD Digital Switchover offer we heard about last month, this strictly isn’t a broadband-related offer but it’s worth mentioning all the same seeing as you have to have Sky TV if you want to get Sky Broadband.

Sky is helping those getting ready for the Digital Switchover save money with a Sky+ and Sky HD TV bundle deal.
OK, so we know this strictly isn’t broadband-related news as the deal is based around the Sky TV packages, and it look like it will only available in those TV regions where the Digital Switchover is taking place. But you have to have Sky TV in order to get Sky Broadband and of course, Sky Broadband Base (up to 2Mbps, 2GB, £15 set up) is included free with a basic Sky TV and Sky Talk bundle deal.

This offer is exclusive to Broadband Finder and our sister site Digital TV - you won’t find this promotion available anywhere else on the web.

O2 Broadband is kicking off a crazy end of summer deal for online customers who sign up throughout the month of August. OK, so it’s not exactly been a great summer over this year weather wise apart from that one week about a month ago when London was hotter than Dehli, but that’s Britain for you. Anyway. Throughout the month of August, any customers who sign up for any of O2’s Home Broadband packages will qualify for two months free. This gives customers eager to get some of the fastest speeds available - up to 24Mbps - for less, saving up to £44 in the first year.
All O2 Home Broadband packages include a free wireless router and McAfee security software, allowing you to easily set up a wireless network and surf safely and there’s also no connection charge. The entry-level O2 Broadband Standard gives you Unlimited downloads and a top speed of 8Mbps for £7.34 per month (£12.23 per month for non-O2 mobile customers).
The O2 Broadband Premium and Pro products provide the same Unlimited downloads plus maximum speeds of 20Mbps. The only difference between the two is that the Pro package comes with a faster top upload speed.
