AOL Broadband Wireless is the new entry-level deal from AOL Broadband (previously AOL Silver). All AOL customers receive a free wireless router, allowing gamers to hook up their consoles for online play, and can enjoy a generous download cap of 10GB per month, and the first month online with AOL Broadband is completely free.
AOL subscribers now get AOL's Talk Evening and Weekends phone package for FREE which provides evening and weekend calls at no cost, and you can also customize your package by adding Talk Unlimited (local and national calls anytime) to your broadband package for £7.49 per month (FREE for the first 6 months).
AOL Broadband comes with a whole range of its own inclusive security programs; anti-virus, pop-up blockers, spam filters and parental controls. A powerful McAfee Firewall is also included as standard.
The 10GB download cap at a connection speed of 8Mbps may feel a bit limiting for heavy-duty users, who are recommended to try the AOL Wireless Plus package instead.

AOL ticks over nicely
Review by: matt, 18/12/2007 at 15:52:48I have been an AOL customer for over 12 years, working with their dial-up and ADSL services. In all this time I have had very few problems with my broadband service from AOL and those problems that I have had, were sorted within a few minutes by a courteous support representative.
The Wireless package is another great package option from AOL which allows an average user, like myself, good speeds, reliable connections and responsive online and offline customer support.
The only problem with AOL at the moment is that their network coverage doesn't allow me to upgrade my package to the Wireless Plus Laptop offer for a reasonable monthly cost. As i am not in their unbundled area I have to pay £29.99 a month rather than £19.99 a month.
