AOL group chosen for online advertising solution

AOL has announced this week that ADTECH has been chosen to supply a full marketing solution to a provider of radio services across the UK.

Global Radio is now operating with the company's Atlas server technology, having replaced the existing system with its own solution.

The ADTECH group forms part of AOL's Platform-A advertising group, which specialises in business marketing and claims to reach over 178 million unique users across Europe.

It is hoped that Global Radio will now be able to utilise the Atlas system as part of its entire online advertising strategies for its nine commercially-branded radio websites.

These properties include Heart, Classic FM and Galaxy, all of which help the company serve a listenership of around 18 million.

Commenting on the decision, sales director for the group's Global Interactive arm Paul Sigaloff said it was essential for the company to engage with consumers across a host of platforms and online advertising plays a large part in this.

For this reason, he explained it was vital to have a reliable marketing facility that could develop and improve with the times.

"At the same time we need to be able to measure success and provide a good level of reporting - the solution from ADTECH enables us to do exactly that. Their platform is very easy to use and the support team have really impressed us already," he added.

Platform-A also covers a number of AOL's other media properties, such as AOL.com, AIM and MapQuest, as well as providing third-party support to Advertising.com.

This week AOL also launched a new website detailing high street shopping voucher codes.
