Be Broadband trials new home phone service

Those in search of a new broadband bundle package might want to check out the latest offering from provider Be.

The company has announced it is set to launch a trial of its upcoming landline and home phone bundles.

Eager consumers who would like to be a part of the scheme will have to act fast, as registration for the pilot is to close on July 9th.

The organisation announced it is seeking a mix of reviewers - both subscribers and non-subscribers - to test the product to make sure it is up to scratch before introducing it on a larger scale.

On top of the honour of being picked for the project, the 70 participants will be rewarded with a half-price Be landline package for 12 months.

Head of Be Broadband Tom Williams acknowledged the move is a way to satiate the demand being voiced by its customers.

The industry figure explained: "There's also the convenience of a single monthly bill and our members should be able to save a little bit of money compared to what they currently pay for a BT line."

Subscribers will therefore be able to gain the benefit from "the great service" provided by Be for both their broadband and landline options, he added.

The news comes after Virgin Media gave its biggest hint yet it is to roll-out a 400 Mbps broadband service to all of its existing customers in the near future by revealing it has the capabilities to perform such an operation.

Will you be signing up for the trial?
