Broadband bus hits Warrington

Tuesday 26th February 2008, by Daniel King

In order to promote the availability of broadband in the area, O2 brought a busload of performers to Warrington, reports the Crewe Guardian.

The Riverside Retail Park was filled with entertainers such as stilt walkers, as part of a tour by the broadband provider and its Broadband Bus.

Retail manager at O2 UK Charlotte Mitchell explained to the newspaper that the bus tour was to heighten awareness of local broadband provision, in the wake of some frustration with suppliers.

Ms Mitchell said: "We were keen to promote O2 Broadband in a fun, exciting way, ensuring that people are well aware of our great service which is now available across the UK."

O2 recently announced that Pay & Go customers would be able to get the same rate of home broadband as mobile phone customers with a monthly contract, with packages starting from £7.50 per month.
