Coldplay single free to download

Coldplay single free to download Broadband users who are Coldplay fans will be able to get the band's next single for free, for a limited time period.

Following similar moves by bands such as the Charlatans, Chris Martin's ensemble will offer Violet Hill, the first single from their new album, on its website for a week before the album launch.

Music lovers have already been able to use their broadband connection to get bargain music this year, such as the experiment from Radiohead who asked fans to pay whatever they thought was suitable for downloading their album In Rainbows.

Earlier in the year, it was announced that broadband customers could soon be able to enjoy unlimited music downloads, reported the Times.

The news follows the announcement that talks between internet service providers in Britain and Warner Music have begun. It is hoped that as part of the monthly broadband bill, broadband users would be able to download music from major labels.
