Broadband customers interested to know how life-changing their connection could be, may be interested in the case of Ian Usher.
Mr Usher made headlines earlier in the year for selling everything about himself - his house, introductions to his friends and even a trial at his job.
Now, reports the Metro, his life has been bought on auction website eBay for 399,300 Australian dollars (£193,000).
He explained: "I am relatively pleased but I thought it would go a bit higher, if I'm honest. But I've no regrets. I'd like to do some travelling. I'd like to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower."
The drastic move came as Ian announced he wanted to make a fresh start after splitting from his wife of five years.
Meanwhile, broadband customers interested in bidding for an unusual item consistently have a range of options - as whattheheck.com list some of the strangest.
Some of the more infamous items include someone's virginity, the nails of a serial killer, slaves and the band Offspring - whose price started at $2 million.
