Birmingham elections on broadband

Birmingham elections on broadband Broadband users wishing to keep up with the results of this year's city council elections in Birmingham will be able to do so online, reports the Birmingham Post.

It has been announced that the coverage will include interviews and analysis, lead by Adrian Goldberg, in a move which forms part of a technology drive by Birmingham council.

Stephen Hughes, chief executive and returning officer, explained: "In an increasingly digital age it is ever more important we seek out new and innovative methods through which to keep the citizens of Birmingham and beyond up-to-date with all our latest news and developments."

Other projects which have been developed which could interest broadband users include a fortnightly e-bulletin on local services.

Digital Birmingham was developed by the council in conjunction with broadband provider BT to encourage the use of technology in the region and to improve the status of the West Midlands' area as a "competitive city".
