Broadband downloads for Wii available

Nintendo has announced that it will be launching a new service for Wii players, meaning that broadband users will be able to download arcade games for their console.
Eight games will be made available at the May 20th launch, reports the BBC, such as Dr Mario & Germ Buster.
It has been reported that the titles on sale at the WiiWare store will be arcade style, available at a low cost for download - along the same vein as Microsoft's XBox Live Arcade which currently stocks 125 games.
The corporation explained: "Nintendo will be hoping that budget WiiWare titles will appeal to casual gamers who may not be prepared to pay £40+ for a full price release." The deal could, of course, benefit gamers using broadband services.
Gaming and broadband recently made headlines as PlusNet reported that the release of RockStar game Grand Theft Auto IV led to unprecedented levels of online gaming - highlighting the necessity for fast, reliable connections.
