Computer options for the multimedia web surfer

A new desktop PC has been launched that is claimed by its manufacturer to offer everything broadband users need to make the most of their multimedia experience.

The Medion Akoya E7330 D is a "fully-featured" model that boasts a 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT220 Direct 10 graphics card as well as offering a three-year warranty.

In addition, the company explained it had equipped the unit with 4 GB of internal RAM internal memory and a 640 GB hard drive, which could be used to search the internet more rapidly and provide plenty of storage for a range of file types.

"Combining performance with style, the Medion Akoya E7330 D boasts a contemporary design, with its black front casing and blue backlit triangle power button," it added. "Processor intensive tasks such as photo or video editing can be accomplished easily."

The model comes bundled with a selection of software including Windows Vista Home Premium and Microsoft Works 9, as well as Corel Suite and the BullGuard Internet Security Pack.

Consumers looking for a more portable web surfing solution may be more interested in the latest addition to Acer's line of netbooks.

The Ferrari One model takes some of its design cues from the luxury auto marque of the same name and its creator announced that buyers can expect a similar level of power under the hood.

Boasting an 11.6-ng high-definition screen, Dolby Pro Logic audio with up to 7.1-channel surround and an AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core processor, the laptop was also built with multimedia in mind.
