Broadband users who like to keep their social networking up to date have been advised that one of the biggest sites around is set for a change.
Facebook has revealed the latest developments in the way it operates will involve how people send and receive messages with some alterations being rolled out that will enhance their inbox.
According to the online portal's official blog, everyone manages their accounts in a different way, but the changes will address the need to "quickly find important messages from friends or stop unwanted messages."
It is noted the move will make the page holders inbox easier to control and items will be ordered differently to make them simpler to find, read and resend.
"We've already begun testing the new interface for the Inbox and we will be rolling it out to more of you over the coming weeks," the post said.
In addition, Facebook explained the new filters would be applied to the top of the inbox to allow unread messages, spam and unwanted items can be viewed or deleted with less hassle.
"This complements our ongoing efforts to keep your experience on the site uncluttered and secure," it concluded.
The social networking site also responded to the growing number of people sharing news and content with regards the situation in Iran by making available a beta version of the portal in Persian.
It is hoped this will allow more Facebook users who speak the language - which is the native tongue of the country will have the opportunity to find out what is currently happening in the region.
