Facebook warning over credit companies

Broadband users who are members of the social networking site Facebook may be interested in a warning issued by debt charity Credit Action, reports the BBC.
It has been claimed that the cheap loans which appear on the site, which has many younger members, break regulations leading to an official complaint to the Office of Fair Trading.
The charity says that as many of the adverts offer a good deal without details of APR or other information, while those that do are often not as visible as required.
A spokesperson for the charity said: "It is such a popular method because they can target young people with whom the site is so popular."
However, broadband users who want to protect younger internet users could be interested in services such as CleanFeed from BT.
CleanFeed filters sites and automatically blocks unsuitable sites, leaving parents safe to allow their children to browse the web.
