Heart Telecom launches business broadband package

Business telecoms company Heart Telecom has become the latest firm to launch a broadband service dedicated to meeting the needs of UK enterprises.
Following on from this week's announcement by internet service provider Star of a new specialist business package, the firm has unveiled its own service aimed primarily at home workers and smaller companies.
Offering download speeds of 24Mbps, the package also includes unlimited downloads, a fixed IP address and up to 1Mbps upload speeds, and comes bundled with analogue line rental.
Managing director of Heart Telecom Stephen Halstead said the service fills "a gap in the UK business broadband market", offering high-speed, high-quality broadband at an affordable price.
He added that it was particularly important during the current financial climate for companies to get better deals and increased support from their suppliers.
"We believe our business broadband is great value for money and, with our managed free set up, switching broadband is quick and easy," Mr Halstead commented.
Prices for the service start from £26.48 a month for both broadband and line rental and Mr Halstead claims the deal is up to 33 per cent cheaper and three times faster than BT's Professional Option 2.
The new package could prove popular with small businesses and home workers in the UK after it emerged that almost 80 per cent of companies use their home broadband connections for professional use, according to a study by Redshift Research for UK business internet provider Pipex.
Over half of the firms surveyed indicated that they are at their most productive when working from home, with only 35 per cent finding they get more done in the office.
