Those in the Highlands and Islands will soon benefit from broadband, as a government-supported project expands accessibility with the help of telecoms company Thus.
The Pathfinder North project has already connected 111 sites as part of a £70 million government project to allow those in remote areas to get fast online access.
Highland Council told BBC Scotland: "The partnership continues to work hard to meet agreed target dates to deliver the benefits this project will bring to children, schools, and the wider community through the roll-out of high speed broadband access."
Thus is working to complete the project by March 2009, which would be within the original timeline set out by the previous government.
Pathfinder North, a partnership of six local authorities, delete space was set up to allow advanced business applications, as well as offering advantages for education, such as video conferencing for teachers.
