Independent holidays 'easy to book online'

Independent holidays 'easy to book online' Broadband users could find it easier to book the perfect holiday by using their internet connection, according to Holidaylettings.co.uk.

The managing director of the holiday home rental website explained that the internet has transformed consumers' ability to find the perfect holiday - and allows them to showcase their own property to other tourists.

Ross Elder said the internet meant it was no longer necessary to book through a travel agent, meaning broadband users may have an easier job of comparing options for the perfect break.

He added: "It's almost become part of the pre-holiday leisure to actually find something suitable ... from either your home or from your work desk at lunchtime."

It may also interest broadband customers to know that a survey from Holidaylettings.co.uk suggested that 72 per cent of people prefer to book their holiday accommodation independently, with 39 per cent claiming they spent over 11 hours online researching each trip.
