O2 broadband to be available at The Carphone Warehouse

Thursday 28th August 2008, by Daniel King

Internet service provider (ISP) O2 has announced that its fixed broadband service will be available at The Carphone Warehouse in the coming weeks.

This will be the first time the company has made its service available through an indirect channel, reports Mobile Today.

At first, The Carphone Warehouse will be the only firm to stock the O2 "takeaway product" which has been available in the ISP's own stores since August 4th.

The product costs £30 up front but it can be taken home and set up in the user's own time. The initial outlay is then credited to the buyer's first broadband bill.

O2 currently offers mobile broadband for £20 each month. However, those who take advantage of this offer will also be eligible to get a free O2 home broadband standard package for the first 12 months.

If this is not required, consumers will also be able to save £7.50 on O2 business broadband for one year.
