Ofcom notes falling broadband prices

Consumers are spending more time every day using broadband and other communication services but are paying less for them, according to Ofcom.
In 2007, the average Brit spent just over seven hours a day using the internet, watching television and making calls, says the regulator.
But the average monthly household spend on these services fell again last year to £93.63, down 1.6 per cent on 2006.
Broadband uptake climbed 22 per cent in 2007 thanks to falling prices, increased competition and the popularity of bundled services.
Indeed, the average cost of a residential broadband connection fell by eight per cent to £14.11 a month.
According to a separate study by a TV marketing body, online and traditional broadcasting platforms are growing together.
Thinkbox found that BBC iPlayer, ITV.com, Sky Player, Demand Five and 4oD are actually adding to viewing figures rather than denting traditional viewing patterns.
