Orange adds more laptops to broadband packages
Tuesday 23rd June 2009, by Daniel King
Orange has boosted its mobile broadband services with the announcement of a range of laptop and netbook offerings.
The carrier claimed the new technology will enhance its packages for customers by giving them better online access with the type of computing systems they have been crying out for.
It is also noted that both private and business users may benefit from the additions, which include the ASUS Eee PC 1000H GO and HP 6735b - both of which come equipped with an embedded sim card for rapid access to the web.
Other models in the line-up are the Compaq Mini 110 and Toshiba L300, which are available on packages with the Huawei E160 dongle, as well as the HP 4515s which has been paired up with the ZTE MF636 wireless device.
Finally, Orange has announced the new Samsung N310 will be added to its range. Boasting a 10.2-inch screen and integrated webcam, the device will be made available on mobile broadband packages starting at £24.47 per month.
Director of devices at the network Francois Mahieu commented: "Whether at home, at work, or on the road, people need the right tools to stay in touch. Our new laptop range is designed to reflect the way individuals work and live."
He added the ability to keep in contact with friends and colleagues via email, as well as having constant access to multimedia facilities using the company's 2G and 3G network, would be an attractive option to many.
