PlusNet raises money for children's hospital

Wednesday 12th March 2008, by Daniel King

Broadband customers who sign up to provider PlusNet will help raise money for the Sheffield Children's Hospital, as part of a new initiative.

The internet service provider has said it will donate £50 to the hospital for every new customer who signs up, as well as an extra £15 for customers who opt for its Home Phone Anytime deal.

Products director at PlusNet Neil Armstrong commented: "As a Sheffield-based company, the Children's Hospital is close to our hearts. We're hoping that customers will help us support the hospital and we'll be able to donate a significant amount of money."

Customers who would like to take part in the scheme and choose PlusNet for their broadband provision should cite Sheffield Children's Hospital using 'schospital' as their referrer when signing up.

The company has announced that the scheme will run throughout March, during which time it hopes to raise £10,000 for the hospital.

PlusNet was founded in 1997 and now serves over 200,000 customers across the UK from its Sheffield base.
