Sir Tim: I'd change ISP if Phorm introduced

The man credited with the creation of the internet Sir Tim Berners-Lee has spoken to the BBC about the web-tracking abilities of Phorm.
It has been announced recently that some broadband companies were considering the use of Phorm, which tracks the web history of consumers to provide more targeted marketing and advertising.
However, Sir Tim has said that he would change his provider if it employed the net-tracking service.
"[My provider] supplies connectivity with no strings attached. My ISP doesn't control which websites I go to, it doesn't monitor which websites I go to," he told the news provider in a recent interview.
Sir Tim added that he supported the "opt-in" option which has been touted by TalkTalk, while other companies are deciding on the choice customers will be offered.
However, Phorm has said it will offer more relevant advertising, as well as consumer privacy as no IP addresses or browser history is stored by the company.
