Sky now offering "truly unlimited" service

Tuesday 16th September 2008, by Daniel King

Sky has announced that it will be removing the Fair Usage Policy from its Max product.

The company offers the package for an extra £10 each month for those who applied to its satellite television service.

Speeds of up to 16 Mbps can be achieved by subscribers and the company's unbundled package will now offer them limitless browsing and downloads.

While ISP Review states that the contract offered by the internet service provider was already "extremely flexible", the changes ensure that users can download as many files as they want.

Those who do not need the full speeds and download capabilities of the Max package, Sky offers the Mid and Base options as well as the Connect option for those outside the network area.

Sky Base is free and speeds of only two-Mbps can be achieved with downloads of two-GB. Sky Mid costs £5 and offers slightly faster connections and a monthly usage allowance of 40 GB.
