T-Mobile named most consistent mobile broadband provider

T-Mobile has emerged as the best and most consistent mobile broadband provider, according to the latest consumer survey.

An independent YouGov survey of almost 2,000 mobile broadband users ranked the operator in first place across nine out of 13 customer satisfaction measures.

These included value for money, download and upload speeds, reliability during the day and ease of use, while T-Mobile was also placed second for quality of service and staying connected.

Richard Warmsley head of internet and entertainment for T-Mobile UK, said the results of the survey demonstrate the provider's ability to offer customers "the right mix" of reliable performance and service, at "a fair price".

"We are particularly pleased about our top rating for value for money," he commented.

"In today's economic climate, we recognise value is a key factor for people looking for a flexible broadband solution."

Mr Warmsley added that T-Mobile's mobile broadband service makes it possible for customers to stay connected "wherever they need to" without being landed with "sneaky extra charges" if they exceed their internet fair use policy.

T-Mobile also revealed that it is on course to provide "near complete population" for 3G services by 2010 and is currently looking to upgrade the download capability of its network to enable "realistic" broadband speeds of up 4.5Mbps in certain areas.

The firm's success in the YouGov poll comes after research by leading test house P3 Solutions earlier this year found that T-Mobile offers a web-browsing experience that is on average 35 per cent faster than its closest mobile broadband rival.
