T-Mobile wins mobile broadband poll

T-Mobile has topped a poll that aimed to find out which provider in the UK was best for mobile broadband.
YouGov surveyed 2,068 users in July and asked them for opinions on 15 consumer satisfaction metrics, such as ease of use and installation.
The network achieved top scores in these two categories, in addition to customer satisfaction and billing. It also kept its position as the company with the highest ratings overall, having been placed first in two previous quarters when the same study was carried out.
T-Mobile beat other networks to obtain the best scores for best value for money when it comes to data usage, while upload and download speeds were other categories in which it took the gold medal.
According to the network, the results of the report reflect a commitment to internet access services that are as simple and affordable as possible.
Head of post-pay marketing for T-Mobile UK Steve Mitchell said the survey was comprehensive and showed how highly consumers rate the brand.
"Customers have the added assurance that we remain the only network to offer unlimited browsing without charging run-on rates," he added.
This quarter saw T-Mobile win eight out of the 15 categories - an improvement on the May 2009 report in which it took the title for six.
At the time, head of internet and entertainment for the provider, Richard Warmsley, commented on how mobile broadband was inching "up the priority list" for web users.
"We aim to provide them with total freedom to check emails, surf the internet and share photos," he remarked.
