Twitter success 'helped by celebs'

The success of Twitter has been helped by celebrity 'tweeters' and attention from the media, it has been suggested.
Analytics company comScore published research this week showing Twitter.com to be the fastest growing internet property in the US for March.
Its traffic increased by 131 per cent, taking the total for the month to 9.3 million visitors, the statistics showed.
Famous people who regularly 'tweet' include Stephen Fry and Ashton Kutcher, who recently became the first account holder to gain a million 'followers' - the term for other Twitter users who track his comments.
The actor, who is known as aplusk on Twitter, challenged CNN to a race to reach the goal and regularly updates his profile along with wife Demi Moore.
However, the UK media recently covered the social networking site after QI host Fry became stuck in a broken lift and let the outside world know about the situation via his tweets.
In recent days, his comments have covered the subject of super-fast broadband.
"Having new 50 MB bb fitted this morning. Will be fascinated to see real speed," he said, later adding "50 Mbps broadband working a treat. D'loaded an HD movie from iTunes in a twinkle".
