Virgin Media reaffirms pledge to get low income families online

Broadband provider Virgin Media has released its first Corporate Responsibility Report, which could interest those looking for an internet service provider with an ethical policy in place.
As part of the report, it revealed Virgin Media was already working in partnership with the e-Learning Foundation which provides free broadband to 1,000 low income families every year.
Safety of children online was also mentioned in its report, available for download, as the broadband company is sponsoring the International Youth Advisory Conference, held by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Agency - which could help parents hoping to let their children browse safely.
Earlier in the year, Virgin Media also revealed it was launching a new short film competition in a bid to support new British talent, with a prize of £30,000 to make a short film and the chance to have work shown on Virgin 1.
