Zen Internet wins ISP of the Year award
Tuesday 21st October 2008, by Daniel King
Zen Internet has been awarded the Internet Service Provider (ISP) of the Year accolade at the 2008 Custom PC awards.
The result was determined by readers of the magazine who put the ISP ahead of O2's Be Broadband, PlusNet and Eclipse Internet.
Richard Tang, managing director of Zen Internet, commented: "Winning this award is a real testament to the fantastic job done by all our employees. It is their adoption of our principle of continual improvement that ensures we achieve our mission to provide the best ISP service in the UK."
He added that the company was "delighted " to have won the award for the first time and expressed his gratitude to the readers of the publication for casting their votes in Zen's favour.
Zen's small office or home office broadband services offer connection speeds of up to 8Mbps. The firms does not offer unlimited downloads on this package, but for £29.78 each month, users get a 50GB download allowance.
Those signing up to the home broadband service also get speeds of up to 8Mbps and can get a download allowance of between 5GB and 50GB.
Zen may be an attractive company to switch to as it does not charge those looking to migrate to it.
Customers who sign up to the home broadband option also get email anti-virus protection, unlimited uploads and BBC Broadband access.
It may be a good option for those looking for a short-term connection as the minimum contract length is just one month.
Those who sign up can also get access to over 58,000 newsgroups and their email via Zen webmail.
