Broadband provider BT has remained top of the pile for its performance, according to new figures.
Research conducted by customer experience management solutions provider Epitiro has placed the firm at the top of the charts for providing the best broadband performance, as gauged by speed, reliability of internet connections and how long it takes to connect to the web.
For the second quarter of this year, BT was followed by Demon in second place Tiscali in third place, with broadband firms Pipex and Plusnet taking fourth and fifth place respectively.
"In terms of technical performance, BT, Demon and Pipex are consistently maintaining their presence in the top five," said Gavin Johns, managing director of Epitiro.
He added that BT and Pipex were found to have the lowest packet loss rates, while Demon had the fewest internet connection failures.
The first quarter of the year saw telephone firm TalkTalk enter the chart for its technical performance.
