BT boosts business capacity options

A new announcement from BT could mean that users of its business broadband services can expect a better customer experience and improved technological facilities.
The internet and telecommunications provider unveiled plans this week to enter a new deal with one of the newest and largest, high-tech data centres in Europe - in a bid to enhance storage options.
BT's Business, Engage and Global Services departments will be involved in the seven-year agreement that will boost power and capacity at NGD Europe's secure, out-of-London centre - the 38th such facility these now operate from.
Company spokesman John Dovey said the group had seen for some time that firms have been "crying out" for more secure data options and increased capacities, something the new deal will provide.
NGD Europe chairman and co-founder Simon Taylor added having a company such as BT utilise its centre was something to be proud of.
"Having such a prestigious organisation
is a wonderful endorsement for us and re-affirms the facilities and flexible approach we offer
for the ultimate in space, power, cooling, connections and security, at far more affordable prices," he concluded.
BT was recently awarded the Best Customer Service gong at the Telecoms World Middle East Awards, where judges considered how well-designed and successfully implemented the firm's strategies were in terms of delivering the best possible experience to its subscribers.
Olivier Campenon, the group's EMEA president of global services, said the win reflected a desire to always put customers first.
