BT challenges businesses to consider its networking solutions

BT has announced companies could be saving as much as 65 per cent on their broadband services by opting for one of its business-focussed packages.
The network said firms in the UK should investigate the cost of connecting all of their working locations with its latest secure, high speed data network as there are significant reductions in overheads to be enjoyed.
One of the companies currently taking advantage of BT's Ethernet networking solutions said switching to the provider has also meant they are able to work faster - which is increasing productivity and cutting costs even further.
Stephen Alix, financial controller of Plastique, said the company is now enjoying more efficient broadband services across its various sites and this includes safe support for its staff using remote access technology.
"Web pages load in a fraction of the previous speed and business applications, such as our accounting system, use the network in real time. It will eventually transport voice traffic between sites, saving us further pounds," he added.
BT Business currently has over a million customers and claims its Ethernet-based services can provide "uncontended, faster bandwidth" at a competitive price. It is noted such a networking solution will also be ideal for data transferring, cloud computing and voice applications.
"With speed options from 2 Mbps to 1 GB per second, users can flex their networks according to speed, size, scale and configuration as needs change," the group advised.
Earlier this week, BT announced the launch of the cheapest home and mobile broadband package in the UK, which is available at £15.65 per month.
