BT helps Brazil
Broadband provider BT has announced it will be working with Unicef to provide help and improve education in Brazil.
Young people will be provided with, and trained in, technology such as the internet and photography with the aim of raising awareness within their local area and internationally.
Luis Alvarez, president EMEA and Latin America, BT Global Services, explained: "BT is committed to making a positive and sustainable difference to the communities in which it operates."
The project has highlighted the importance of broadband and the internet to the future of the next generation, as the provision of computers will allow the Brazilian youngsters to share their experiences with contemporaries around the world.
BT also recently announced it was helping the environment, as it took steps to meet it green energy targets by installing wind turbines and a solar panel on its Colombo House building in London.
