BT introduces new Vision of the future

The UK's largest broadband provider has moved to increase its market share further by making its home hub system available to self install.
BT's Vision system, which supplies homes with digital TV and broadband services, has only been available if customers paid for an engineer to install the network into a suitable point in the home.
However, BT has now created a new version which allows customers to set it up themselves, much like a Freeview digital box. A BT Broadband connection is still required to access the service.
Dan Marks, BT Vision's chief executive, said: "For customers who don't want or need an engineer visit, self install makes BT Vision an even more attractive choice. It gives all the benefits of our next-generation digital TV service for an incredible up-front price of just £30."
BT has over four million broadband customers throughout the UK.
