Telecoms and broadband provider BT has won an award for its customer support services.
The company received the accolade of Best Customer Care at the ninth World Communication Awards in London, as well as scooping the Convergence Award for 21CN and a commendation in the Best Global Operator category.
Francois Barrault, chief executive officer of BT Global Services, said that customer service was the highest priority for the company.
"Winning the Best Customer Care category for the first time is recognition that we are getting it right for the people who matter," he commented.
Other contenders for the Best Customer Care award included Orange Business Services, Easynet, Cable & Wireless and NTTComOne.
Earlier this year, BT announced the launch of BT FON, the biggest Wi-Fi community in the world.
Over three million BT Total Broadband customers were invited to join the network, which allows members to make use of more than 190,000 wireless FON hotspots across the globe.
