BT spring clean 'will see dropping prices'

BT spring clean 'will see dropping prices'

By Craig Coulson (Wed, 17th March 2010)

Annoyed at the poor quality of your broadband package?

Think you're not getting enough for your money?

Well, it would seem that you're not alone.

Figures from Consumer Choices recently showed that 30 per cent of British customers are dissatisfied with their broadband speeds, while 28 per cent are even planning on switching providers as a result.

And it could be that some of these are tempted to swap their current suppliers for BT, after the firm announced details of its upcoming spring sale.

According to the group, it's offering a number of competitively-priced packages aimed at giving consumers more for their cash.

These include the BT Talk and Surf deal - available for new customers buying through the BT website before March 23rd at £7.49 per month - giving people up to 20Mb broadband as well as unlimited UK calls at weekends.

Those wanting to kill three entertainment birds with one stone may also be interested in the BT Spring Sale Triple Play package, containing unlimited UK calls at weekends, up to 20Mb broadband and Vision TV and TV Replay Packs, which could save users as much as £83.

John Petter, managing director of BT's consumer division, commented on the news by saying: "Offering a bundle of broadband and anytime calls for this knockdown price will launch us into the bundles market as an unrestricted competitor for the first time. There will be many more bundled offers to come and customers can only benefit."

Would these deals tempt you into switching?
