New broadband from BT

(Wed, 7th May 2008)

Broadband provider BT has launched its new Total Broadband Anywhere, which can be used in conjunction with its home service BT Total Broadband.

The new service offers the smartphone BT ToGo for surfing the web while out, which is available for free with the £23.99 per month contract.

Managing director of consumer at BT John Petter explained: "Communications services are converging, and it is clear that customers want consistent access to the things that matter not only at home, but in the palm of their hands wherever they are."

Consumers can use the normal BT broadband service in their homes, but are covered by the 10 MB monthly download allowance on the mobile device, which also features a built-in camera.

Meanwhile, star of Dragons' Den Peter Jones is the star of BT's new business advertising campaign alongside The Gremlins. The marketing initiative aims to highlight the problems that may occur if business do not have 24-hour IT support.
