BT's small business social network offering has signed a major deal with payment company PayPal.
BT Tradespace, which allows small businesses to create an internet portal through a range of templates, has secured the deal with PayPal in order to expand the buy and sell area of the site.
Under the terms of the new agreement, users of BT Tradespace will be able to add the PayPal function to maximise business potential, allowing for the growth of their business. Photos, blogs and podcasts are also available to upload as part of the multimedia approach to small business trading.
Ivan Croxford, head of market development at BT Business, said: "The PayPal name is respected the world over for ease of use and security. It therefore represents a natural fit for the BT brand, providing a trusted and credible service for buying and communicating online."
BT Tradespace launched in April this year, allowing small businesses to create their own Web 2.0 space for a monthly subscription of £15.

Speeds in excess of 2 meg are only available in certain areas. Top
speeds vary significantly, particularly according to how far away
you live from the exchange.
If your line won’t support our fastest broadband speed we’ll
give you the best available. The speed you actually get can also vary
depending on the quality of your line, the wiring in your house, the
time of day and even the weather.
