Would you pay extra for superfast broadband?

How fast is fast enough when it comes to broadband?
At the moment I personally find my standard 10MB/s deal is good enough for what I need to do on the internet.
Streaming films isn't too much of a chore and zipping between websites is a breeze.
However, all this talk of superfast internet is intriguing - and tempting.
According to reports from the Financial Times, BT is going to extend plans to deliver high-speed broadband from 40 per cent of households in the UK to 66 per cent.
And people appear to be interested in taking up the offer, once the fibre-based network is complete.
ISPreview recently conducted a survey that found 51 per cent of respondents would be willing to pay extra for a 100Mb/s connection, even if they can already get speeds of 10Mb/s.
The website explained this demonstrates demand in superfast broadband would actually be pretty high, "despite the fact that only a few online services could actually take advantage of such speeds".
In addition, it showed 24.4 per cent reckon a speed of 50Mb/s is enough for their needs, with 21.2 per cent saying 20Mb/s is plenty.
However, the site commented: "Just because most people would be willing to pay extra doesn't mean to say they'd pay through the nose, prices must still be reasonable.
"Broadband didn't turn into a truly mass market service until after it was both widespread and affordable," it added.
Do you think you need a superfast broadband connection?
Or would it not be worth it, in your opinion?
