Demon announces changes to fight off competitors

Broadband provider Demon Internet has announced it has enhanced its customers' webspace services.
In an effort to cope with bigger broadband providers, Demon has upgraded its customers' Homepages service to include QuickTime and MP3 streaming capabilities, ISP review reports.
The Homepages service now also enables broadband users to stream content on their websites, as part of Demon's efforts to concentrate on the small business end of the market. Demon has also announced it will maximise the bandwidth through the Homepages service.

Demon Broadband users to get discount

A number of Demon Broadband subscribers are set to benefit from tariff savings of up to 30 per cent, it has emerged.
The ISP's operator, THUS, has announced that new tariffs will result in substantial savings for certain users, as well as lower monthly and annual charges for other subscribers.
Existing customers of the service will also receive improved services, more equipment choices and free upgrades.

Demon owner reports profits rise

Telecoms firm Thus has reported a rise in profits following tough competition for broadband and internet services under its Demon trademark.
The firm posted earnings of £42.9 million for the year until the end of March, with overall group revenues increasing by 53 per cent.
Acquiring communications company Your Communications and internet supplier Legend Communication has also been attributed to the strong growth in revenue.
