Future gets a little brighter for Orange

Telecoms provider Orange added over 50,000 extra customers to its broadband service in the three months to September, the company's financial results reveal.
Owned by France Telecom, Orange's UK broadband customer base now stands at 1.142 million, which makes it the fifth largest in the country.
Revenues for the company from broadband were up 11 per cent year-on-year, as initial teething problems through the service are ironed out. Orange has since revamped its broadband service, figures for which will be out in the new year.
France Telecom chairman Didier Lombard said: "The revenues announced today are an indication of the group's very good performance and reflect the dynamism of all of its businesses in nearly all its markets.
"In particular, I would like to emphasise the performance in the United Kingdom and in Spain, which saw significant revenue growth as a direct result of new customer additions."
Last month, Orange launched a new advice website designed to help tackle the misuse of broadband and increase parental security on sites.
