Mobile operator Orange has announced that it has signed an agreement with Wi-Fi firm The Cloud over the provision of wireless web hotspots across the UK.
Under the terms of the deal, Orange's business customers will be able to take advantage of 7,500 extra Wi-Fi hotspots when accessing the internet - taking the company's total number to 10,000.
The firm currently has similar agreements with organisations such as BT OpenZone, France Telecom and WeRoam.
Users can access Orange's Wi-Fi service through its existing Business Everywhere mobile data card, as well as via some of its new Business Everywhere plans.
"The reach of our Wi-Fi coverage is critical, but the user experience is what really counts," commented Anthony Keyworth, products director for Orange Business Services.
"Business Everywhere gives our customers a convenient, user friendly way of accessing our partners' Wi-Fi networks and our other high-speed, mobile data networks."
Earlier this year, The Cloud announced the introduction of Wi-Fi access for those in ownership of Apple's iPod Touch mp3 player through thousands of hotspots around the UK.
