Orange reveals mobile broadband offers
Thursday 18th August 2011, by Simon White
Orange has announced three new mobile broadband deals for its customers, offering a number of options to cater for individual needs.
With its Small, Medium and Large broadband offers, the company presents a range of download allowances and monthly costs. As well as this, existing Orange customers are entitled to a £5 discount on the packages.
These new options are based on average daily use over one month and will suit people whether they use the internet infrequently, or regularly go online to stream multimedia and download files.
Those who select the Small deal will be granted a 500MB inclusive download allowance, whereas the Medium and Large bundles offer 1GB and 3GB respectively. Costs are set at £10 for the small package, £15 for Medium and £30 for Large.
People who subscribe to the Medium or Large plans will be given the added benefit of inclusive WiFi access, giving them the chance to connect to more than 200,000 BT hotspots throughout the UK.
Commenting on its new offers, Orange said: "Whether a customer goes online every now and then, streams videos or uses Facebook for hours every day, the new Small, Medium and Large plans are based on average daily use over one month, making them more clearly aligned to what is actually used."
Orange has also confirmed that it will introduce its E5830C mobile WiFi device to its current selection of mobile broadband products.
It includes a mobile broadband signal indicator that denotes the level of signal that is being received, with no installation software necessary.
Britain's broadband market was also boosted this week by the announcement that £363 million will be used to improve services in the UK.
Culture secretary Jeremy Hunt confirmed that English counties will gain £294.8 million, while Scotland will collect £68.8 million.
