Broadband provider Orange has signed a deal that will see classic and contemporary MGM films delivered to customers using its video-on-demand service.
Subscribers who opt for an Orange broadband digital television or high-speed internet package will be able to access the films - including titles such as Casino Royale, Silence of the Lambs and Rocky - via the 24/24 Video facility.
The movies will be added to the service for Orange customers in France, Spain and Poland, with UK subscribers set to benefit "soon".
Currently, 24/24 Video has a catalogue of over 3,000 films available for 24-hour rental, with prices beginning at 1 (72p) for certain movies.
Last year, Orange launched an initiative in partnership with the British Academy of Film & Television Arts that saw aspiring filmmakers submit short films lasting a maximum of 60 seconds to a contest that eventually led to members of the public picking their favourite.
