A deal between Orange and PC World which offered 'free' laptops has ended abruptly, according to reports.
In July, the ISP and retailer linked up to offer a free laptop worth over £300 to any customer who signed up to Orange's broadband service for £14.99 per month.
However, according to pocket-lint.co.uk, the offer has been ended due to poor customer response. The website set up by PC World for the offer states: "We're sorry. This deal has now ended."
Niall O'Keeffe, marketing director of PC World, said at the launch of the deal: "Internet access and access to home IT is increasingly important for British families. We are pleased to be offering this groundbreaking deal as part of our commitment to Britain's digital future."
Last week, Orange came bottom in a poll of customer satisfaction with ISPs, with less than 45 per cent of its customers committing their online future to the company in Point Topic's survey.
