New business broadband for SMEs

Pipex has announced a range of business broadband options designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
At the launch of the new services, the product and marketing director of Pipex Lance Spencer explained that only 23 per cent of companies use business-grade ADSL.
Mr Spencer said: "The need for service reliability and quality support could not be more important for this sector."

Pipex relaunches broadband offerings

Broadband service provider Pipex has revamped its product offering, removing its unlimited packages and labelling products with a clear usage allowance.
The majority of Pipex was bought out earlier this year by Tiscali and has now launched four new bundles, aimed at a wide-range of broadband users.
Many of the new packages include free home phone calls, as Pipex aims to use some of the Tiscali infrastructure. The Pro offering includes 100 Gb of downloads per month for £39.99 while, at the other end of the spectrum, the Mini automatically includes home phone calls but has a 2 Gb usage for £9.99 per month.

Pipex's wireless offering rebrands

Pipex's wireless broadband offering has been rebranded following Tiscali's purchase of the company earlier this year.
Under the Freedom4 banner, the group aims to offer up to eight mbps wireless connection in a number of locations across the UK.
In a joint venture between Pipex and Intel Capital, Freedom4 is to build on wireless services currently being offered by Pipex in Warwick and Milton Keynes by launching in Manchester. The company is then likely to roll-out its coverage across the UK next year.
